Thanks for the note. The sidewalk snow and ice removal program is underwritten by the CWE North CID, which is funded by a 1% sales tax collected on transactions within the District. Steve Neels reports that there have been numerous compliments and "thumbs-up" gestures from neighbors. It is great to know that we finally have the resources to accomplish things we have been mumbling about for years. Feels like progress!

As you know Debra and I are newcomers to the CWE, only having been in the neighborhood for 22 years. This morning as is our custom, we walked over to Starbucks for coffee and for the first time that I can remember the walks along Euclid had been treated! Thanks so much to the taxing district. Keeping a walkable neighborhood walkable is important rain, sleet, snow or shine.
